ABOUT ME

From an early age I have always known my two greatest loves in life are singing and my faith in Christ. It wasn’t until recent years that I would fully understand how the two would come together.
 
If you had asked me during my senior year in high school what I wanted to do with my life it would have been either to pursue a career in singing or in ministry. After graduating from college, I wanted to move to New York City to pursue a career on Broadway. Just months before graduation day, I actually found an apartment in my favorite neighborhood on the upper west side, but at the last minute my plans fell through and at the same time I met my husband. Let’s just say God had a different plan for my life.
 
I continued flying to New York City to audition with my agent’s bookings and was finding success. But something inside me just knew there was more to this journey. There was a moment when I felt the door had closed. So many signs were pointing me in a new direction.
 
Everything started to make sense for me when my first son Rory was born. I remember praying earnestly for God to show me the way as now it was not just my life that needed direction, it was my precious child’s life that was entrusted to me!
 
In the silence of motherhood, my heart opened to a new calling. I felt inspired to write in my journal and words flowed out in effortless poetry. One day those words just lifted off the page into melody, and then I realized I am writing songs!
 
Long story of how I got this far…it’s been only by God’s grace. His grace is the greatest gift of all for me, and I am so grateful to be able to share my heart with you all through the music on my new album Sing Your Name.
