Elizabeth Campisi was born in San Jose, California. As a young girl she moved to Wales, United Kingdom where her love for singing blossomed. She studied with faculty from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art as well as attended the Royal Academy of Dance for a summer in London. After moving back to the United States, she began performing professionally at age fifteen, starring in roles with regional companies such as TheatreWorks, American Musical Theatre of San Jose and the American Conservatory Theatre.
She has performed professionally in both Los Angeles and New York. Elizabeth’s concert performances have included solo concerts with Academy & Grammy Award-Winning Composer Stephen Schwartz, best known for his Disney film scores for Enchanted and Pocohontas and Broadway Shows including Wicked, Godspell, Children of Eden, and Pippin.
After attending a performance of Children of Eden at American Musical Theatre of San Jose, for which she played one of the leading roles, Schwartz asked Elizabeth to play the role of Nessarose in the final New York Workshop of Wicked. She has also opened concerts for comedian Bob Newhart, and Blues legend B.B. King.
Elizabeth Campisi is married to Richard Gregory Campisi.
They have two beautiful sons, Rory and Thomas. |
